Each year, there is a concert to benefit the scholarship. The Concert begins at 6:30 pm and lasts until midnight!

The musicians that play this night receive no fee. They play out of the joy that they get from playing with fellow musicians they don’t get to play with often. More importantly, they play to honor two fellow musicians who loved life and gave to the community their gift of music, and can continue their legacy through the scholarship.


Besides the admission at the concert, the main source of the scholarship funding is through the sale of raffle tickets. The grand prize is a 5 Day 4 Night stay for two in Bermuda! There are many many other prizes, ranging from dinners to jewelry to gift certificates in local stores to ski tickets and more! The success of the scholarship and raffle is due to the generosity of the business community. There are also tee shirts for sale to commemorate each concert.

Scholarship Beneficiary

The Peter Lewis and Peter White Music Scholarship is awarded to a Kennett High School Senior who is continuing their education in Music. The student must be majoring in Music, whether it be Applied Music or Music Education.
